We carry out this program by involving an impartial third party in the work of a counsellor/mentor and client, helping to reduce the risk of serious oversight and helping the counsellor/mentor to reflect on their own feelings, thoughts, behaviour and general approach with the client.
It is a process of ongoing collaborative experimental and
transformational learning that should draw on practice and research-based knowledge. We provide a flexible relationship of mutual trust, respect and integrity that takes into account the learning and counselling needs of the client.
The overall aim is to provide a safe, supportive opportunity for individuals to engage in critical reflection in order to raise issues, explore problems and discover new ways of handling both the situations and oneself. The critical aspect being the potential to educate.
