Jihimarishe is a Swahili word meaning uplift yourself by building resilience and competency within self to empower bigger dreams.

We aim to create social, psychological and emotional balance awareness to the children. The key objective is to build their competency and resilience towards different social issues in order to improve their livelihood. It has also provided a platform to protect minors from all forms of violence that they may experience after their integration back into the community.

Engaging in activities such as football, mind recreation games and art workshops increases engagement and promotes bonding amongst themselves and with the volunteers.

This is also done in the community to try and change the perspective of the general community where children coexist; and to equip them with the appropriate skills and information on how to approach the issues they face in their homes, schools, with their peers and surrounding, in relation to their well-being.
